Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and repair, ensuring the functionality and reliability of all mechanical and electrical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and organization. This position requires availability to work nights and weekends, with a schedule from Sunday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble mechanical components according to requirements.
  • Inspect vehicles, engines, transmissions, and run diagnostic tests to identify issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire replacements.
  • Replace and repair brakes, including calipers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including rewiring and installing 360-degree camera systems.
  • Repair and maintain vehicle heaters, headlights, taillights, marker lights, and door mechanisms (e.g., hinges, handles).
  • Diagnose and replace fuses and other small components.
  • Conduct thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
  • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle users.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, including minor cosmetic repairs (e.g., mirrors, bumpers).
  • Keep logs and document time spent on each repair and task using our tablet.
  • Maintain organization of the shop and mobile workshop.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on gas motor vehicles.
  • Proficient knowledge of vehicle components, engines, and electrical systems.
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers).
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and stay focused and on task.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
  • Very good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical condition suitable for the demands of the role.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check (no felonies).

Compensation:

  • $700 per week.

Schedule:

  • Sunday: Full day starting at 9:00 AM for 8-9 hours.
  • Monday through Thursday: Evening shifts starting at 5:00 PM.
